Miti is a spectacularly exposed and entertaining sector, perched high above the road, the sea, and the agricultural plains of Leonidio. While the number of routes is limited, the quality more than makes up for it, especially the central lines, which are all excellent and well worth the steep approach.
Keep in mind that the sector receives a lot of sun, so it's best visited on cloudy days or on one of the rare cold winter days. Thankfully, its exposed position often brings a welcome coastal breeze, making conditions more manageable even when the sun is out.
Description
History
Mike, together with his friends David and Drone-Andy, began developing this sector during the off-season in 2018. All routes were equipped with high-quality HCR bolts, making them suitable for the coastal environment close to the sea.
The cleaning process, however, turned into quite a challenge. Larger chunks of rock had a habit of crashing down onto the road below. To manage the risk, much of the work had to be done at night, using headlamps and with spotters posted on both ends of the road to warn of oncoming traffic.
Well done, homies...
