Description

Close to the picturesque village of Paleochori, nestled in the hinterlands of Leonidio, lies a charming stretch of wall with minimal approach and a pleasant northeast orientation.
Thanks to its higher altitude, shady exposure, and a generous selection of easy to very easy routes, this sector quickly became a crowd favorite, especially for beginners, families, and those seeking a relaxed day on the rock.
Developing this sector took a great deal of effort, including stone clearing and tree cutting to make the routes and the belay areas accessible and enjoyable. Special thanks go to the Municipality of Leonidio, which funded the development and helped make this crag a reality.

History

The majority of routes were equipped in 2023, with Simon Montemory focusing mainly on the left side of the wall and Claude Remy on the right. There’s a noticeable difference in style, route length, bolting approach, and even rock quality from one side to the other, but it’s best to experience it for yourself.
