Mellby is another classic area of Gothenburg located between Utby and Partille. This beautiful place offers you a wide variety of boulders, of all styles and grades, on different types of gneiss. Most of the climbing is done on a cliff spread out in an open field, making it accessible to find most of the climbs. Like Utby, the rock relies heavily on friction, so the best season to climb in this area is spring and late fall.
Mellby is a great area for both beginners and experienced climbers!
