Description

Mattatoio (slaughterhouse) was named after the many animal bones lying around. It is known also by the name Il Cadaverificio.

The crag offers more than twenty short overhanging routes from the 6th to the 8th grade. The overhanging wall features a final roof, which protects it against the rain and enables for some hard route extensions.

Thanks to its very short approach (< 10 minutes), a comfortable base, and a north exposition, it is an ideal crag for spring and autumn when it's too warm to climb in the sun. It is possible to climb also during the rain.

History

The crag was developed by Massimo Faletti with the help of Daniele Giacomoni, Federico Zendron and Marco Molinari.
