The newest addition to the climbing in Oppdal, quite different than the other crags. With only a few exceptions, the routes here are short, intense and slightly overhanging. Expect a lot of negative holds, ergonomic pockets, scoops and crimps. The lack of incut holds makes for a really technical and condition-dependent style.
The rock is shaped by water, but still has good friction. The first couple meters of the cliff is on the chossy side, but the rest is of superb rock quality. Belaying base is very comfortable, but only a few meters from the river so it can get noisy when the river is at its peak.
Currently there are 2 established routes, 3 open projects and 2 closed.
Sopranola (8A) is for sure one of the nicest hard routes in the area.
