Description

About the Area
Discovered around 2015 and primarily developed between 2018 and 2020, this bouldering sector lies just a few kilometers below the Jurgovo ski slopes on Rogla, heading toward Oplotnica (Čezlak).

Access and Land Ownership
Both the boulders and parking areas are on public land, ensuring open access for climbers.

Rock Type and Climbing Style
The climbing is set on Pohorje granite / tonalite, a fine-grained, finger-friendly rock. Expect rounded slopers, subtle edges, and small crimps. The smooth texture of the stone demands precision, good footwork, and refined body positioning.

Best Season to Visit
Although the area is climbable for most of the year, the best conditions are in spring and autumn when the friction is optimal. Winter can be challenging due to heavy snowfall, which often covers the boulders.

The rock here is remarkably smooth, offering a playground of slopers that make the climbing highly technical and balance-intensive. The area was initially found by Boštjan Potočnik and a team of climbers from Slovenska Bistrica, who opened a handful of easier problems. In 2018, development took off when Miha Dvoršek and Rok Klančnik began systematically cleaning and climbing the remaining blocks, shaping the area into what it is today.

Parking: A small, designated parking area is available along the roadside near the approach path. Please park responsibly and avoid blocking forest roads or local traffic.

Public Access: Both the land and parking area are public, so climbers are welcome. Still, respect the environment, stay on marked paths, and avoid leaving any litter.

Navigation: For precise directions, you can use Google Maps or GPS coordinates: 46.442188, 15.387847 (approximate).
