A great climbing area in a beautiful setting near the city of Calpe. The climbing offers powerful and steep overhang climbing. The routes are in general not really long but over this short distance the routes have overhangs, bulges and powerful moves. The routes are best suited for climbers who climb already in the higher grades.
The area consists of two sectors called pinturas and sector casa. The sectors pinturas is clearly seen from the main road and offers steep roof climbing up to 8b. The sector casa has the most climbing routes and offers climbing routes from 5a to 7b+.
Pinos mostly faces southwest and has sun all day which makes it a perfect winter destination. Both sectors dry quickly after rain. After prolonged rain the tufa’s may seep.
From Bennisa follow the road N997 for about 10 min and park just after a sharp right turn. Sector pinturas is straight above you. When following the road for another 250 m the sector casa is on the right side above you. See also the maps of 27crags.
