Description

A small easily accessible boulder area with a small overhanging wall with very nice rock quality and two fun problems + a higher slab wall with boulders and some lowballs close by. The area is worth a visit for the recommended problems below or if you want some nice easy slab cracks 4-5 meters high.

Recommended problems:
⭐ Vindsus (7A+) - hardest problem in the area, a traverse on the small overhanging wall.
⭐ Flying Peggy (6A+) - short but fun.
⭐ Iskast (5) - sit start on the slab wall following a nice groove.
⭐ Högerproblematiken (5+) - nice overhanging easier problem.

Best season is usually spring or autumn. Avoid the area if there is risk for ice build up on the turbine blades (more information under Access). When developed the small overhanging wall was in a dense forest but since 2022/2023 it has been cleared and the small wall which is facing south has sun exposure during the day. The slab wall is facing east and can be OK during evenings even on hotter days during the summer.

The landings are good and it is easy to get down from all boulders.

The area doesn't have much traffic so it is recommended to bring a brush to clean the problems.

The slab wall was rebrushed 2025 and lots of new problems developed.

History

First problems developed in 2018 by A. Dzogovic. and K. Fredriksson. The small wall was then in dense forest which since then has been cleared (2022/2023).

In 2025 the slab wall "Vårtallsberget" was rebrushed by C. Pålsson and many new problems developed.
