Limarock:
Limarock is one of the freshest crags in the nearby of Arco. It is located in the middle of the Limarock gorge, close to a nice bicycle lane. The approach is very easy and the base of the crag is comfortable.
The crag offers 14 routes from 6b to 8a and there are also some projects. The wall is mainly vertical with some overhanging parts, but always on crimpers and some cracks. All the equipment is good.
Visit Limarock if you want to escape from the hot Summer of the Sarca valley.
Pilastro Frollo:
On the side of the car park it is possible to see a huge rock pillar, which is called Pilastro Frollo. There are a bunch of long routes (three pitches max) featuring challenging and demanding climbing.
The area has been recently bolted and the rock is new.
The wall has a North exposition, so there are good temperatures also during the Summer.
Maso Limarò:
Maso Limarò is a complex of big boulders located in a beautiful area close to the Limarò gorge. The approach is very short and there are 34 routes on grey limestone. The difficulties goes from the fifth grade to 7b+, but there are also one short and powerful 8c and some projects.
The climbing here is suitable for everyone, even for children. The crag base is very comfortable and the equipment is good. The area is often windy.
Maso Limarò absolutely deserves a visit, both for climbing and for enjoying a pleasant day with the family. If you want to relax after climbing it is advisable to spend some time also by the nice bar/restaurant.
Parete del Limarò:
Parete del Limarò is a huge wall facing the Limarò gorge. The crag offers a lot of different climbing routes, from historical dihedrals, as the Diedro Maestri, to compact grey slabs and pumpy vertical-overhanging walls with a super exposure.
The equipment is mainly good on fixes and the belays are perfect.
There are both hard and easy lines and all of them are beautiful. The best easy routes of the wall are Orizzonti dolomitici and Amazzonia.
If you are planning to stay in the Limarò area for some time, do not miss the beautiful Rino Pisetta via ferrata, probably one of the most challenging trail of Trentino.
