Fell in love with this rote 6 years ago, and today finally did it!

Hade fått tre stjärnor om det inte varit för vilorna vilket gör leden sekvensig.

Didn't really expect to keep it together and send on first try of the last day (worked on it before). Somehow found myself in a wrong position after last bolt but managed 😅. Nice line but not 3 stars for me.

I came to El Chorro for well bolted steep routes on big polished holds. I got a long spicy slab with sharp holds and runouts. Glad to do it anyway (good mental & technical training), though I don't agree with the description/comments that it's the best route of the grade in El Chorro. I would gladly climb Viejo Traidor again but not this route ;) We had only 64m long rope and it was a bit of a challenge to get down - the last meters had to be downclimbed. Double-send with Katya in perfect conditions. 2rp

A real team send with beta contributions from Felix, Nina, Seb, and Norm. Thank you to Norm and Seb for the multiple hour-long belays. To Felix, a special expression of gratitude is required for lugging his gear to the anchor and sitting there for 2+ hours filming from above, capturing my send in the waning light of the last go on the last day of the trip. This route was such a physical and psychological fight. Consistently hard throughout, requiring focus, precise beta, hard crimping, and trusting your feet on miniscule rock pimples. I will always remember the desperate moves at the slab crux especially the skin and blood I lost at "Nathan's crimp." Sent on 6th go.
