⛰️The Lanaitto area, composed of three main crags, is a large and well-structured complex that offers enjoyment for a wide range of climbers. In some sections, the quality of the limestone is truly exceptional—compact, well-featured, and solid—providing consistently engaging climbing.
Routes range from very short and intense pitches to long, sustained lines exceeding 50 meters. This variety is one of the key strengths of the area, allowing climbers to choose between powerful, explosive efforts and endurance-based challenges.
The sun reaches the walls mainly after 2 p.m., making the area suitable year-round. In autumn, winter, and spring, the sun ensures pleasant temperatures, while in summer it is preferable to climb in the afternoon, when conditions become more favorable.
Approach trails are steep and require some care; the area is not particularly family-friendly or ideal for those seeking very easy access. However, with reasonable attention and steady footing, the crags can be reached without major difficulty.
Overall, Lanaitto is a beautiful and diverse climbing destination set in a striking natural environment, where high-quality rock, varied route lengths, and good sun exposure combine to create a rewarding experience.

⛰️La zona di Lanaitto, articolata in tre falesie principali, è un complesso ampio e strutturato che offre divertimento e possibilità per un pubblico molto eterogeneo. La qualità del calcare, in alcuni tratti, è davvero eccezionale: compatto, lavorato e solido, con una varietà di conformazioni che rendono l’arrampicata sempre interessante.
Le vie spaziano da tiri molto brevi e intensi fino a linee decisamente lunghe, che possono superare i 50 metri, offrendo così sia scalate esplosive sia itinerari di continuità e resistenza. Questa varietà è uno dei punti di forza dell’area, che permette di alternare stili e impegno fisico.
Il sole raggiunge le pareti prevalentemente dopo le due del pomeriggio. Questo rende la zona frequentabile durante tutto l’anno: nelle mezze stagioni e in inverno il soleggiamento garantisce temperature piacevoli, mentre in estate è preferibile scalare nel tardo pomeriggio, quando l’esposizione diventa più favorevole.
I sentieri di accesso sono ripidi e richiedono un minimo di attenzione; l’area non è particolarmente adatta alle famiglie o a chi cerca avvicinamenti completamente agevoli. Tuttavia, con un po’ di accortezza e passo sicuro, si raggiungono senza difficoltà particolari.
Nel complesso, Lanaitto è una zona bella e articolata, inserita in un contesto naturale di grande impatto, dove qualità della roccia, varietà delle linee e buona esposizione al sole si combinano in un’esperienza completa e appagante.

⏪⌚The history of the Lanaitto area essentially begins in the 1990s with the development of the Pianeta Lanaitto sector. In 1991, Zaicomo bolted most of the routes there, initiating the systematic development of the crag and establishing its early identity.
In later years, Neumann played a key role in further expansion. Between 2000, 2009, and 2018, he significantly contributed to the development of the Perla and Musicland sectors, working alongside other climbers, both local and visiting. This phase greatly increased the number of routes and strengthened Lana Itu’s reputation as a diverse and well-structured climbing complex.
Since then, development has continued progressively, with ongoing efforts that have further enhanced and completed the different sectors over time.

⏪⌚La storia dell’area di Lanaitto inizia sostanzialmente negli anni Novanta con il settore Pianeta Lanaitto. Nel 1991 Zaicomo attrezza la maggior parte delle linee, avviando lo sviluppo sistematico della zona e definendone l’identità iniziale.
In una fase successiva interviene Neumann, che tra il 2000, il 2009 e il 2018 dà nuovo impulso all’area, sviluppando in particolare i settori Perla e Musicland. Il lavoro viene portato avanti insieme ad altri climber, sia locali sia provenienti da fuori zona, contribuendo ad ampliare in modo significativo l’offerta e a consolidare Lana Itu come complesso articolato e di riferimento.
Da allora l’evoluzione è stata progressiva, con interventi distribuiti nel tempo che hanno completato e valorizzato ulteriormente i diversi settori.
