Description

Kuparivuori is one of the best sea cliffs in Finland. The atmosphere is very alpine and the rock can be a bit crumbly every now and then. The climbing is very good though. The fresh sea breeze adds to the atmosphere.

The sun faces the cliff and the rock dries very fast. Kuparivuori shows it's best during the sunset hours and is a very popular cuddling site for the locals. Kuparivuori is also popular among local cliff divers if it's hot and sunny.

History

The climbing on Kuparivuori started in early 1980's by Heikki Suominen. Some of the old fixed gear still dates to those years but all the anchors have been replaced.

Route Tuulenvire is the start of the modern era. It was added in 2020 and it's fully bolted with new glue-in bolts.
