Description
Juonionlahti is a Bouldering spot located on road 23 from Varkaus to Joensuu. The stones and faces are partly visible from the road on both sides. There are boulders ranging from easy to moderate. Some open projects also. The rock quality is generally good and compact. The stones tend to dry quite well but the faces can take some time to dry after rain. The approaches range from easy and short to a little bit more tenuous for the walls higher up on the hill. Some good choices for warmups are the small stone and the right side of the overhanging wall.
Remember to take your trash with you and brush tick marks. Also remember not to make a fire in any circumstances!
