Description

🇬🇧 Hvasser is a fantastic and very popular area for bouldering, all the way out at the ocean. The rock has very good friction (read very sharp / tough on the skin) and the boulders are of high quality! Fairly easy to walk between boulders.

There is also some very nice trad climbs, and some toproping with bolted anchors.

There is no protection from wind, so it dries super fast, but can be cold on a day with a little breez.

History

The area was not accassible until around 2006 when Tønsberg Kommune took over the land. The devolpment of the boulders and the trad climbing took place shortly after, with Per Nicolai being one of the active local climbers on Hvasser having many first acents. There is still new problems being established today.
