Description

A quiet crag set in a depression on top of the hill between the much more popular (and busier) Burbage valley and Sheffield.
The west end of the crag, so called Houndkirk Tor False consists of a range of small broken butresses and scattered blocks arcing round facing roughly north/north-west providing cooler conditions in summer but can stay green/damp in winter. This is where the majority of the climbing is located.
Houdkirk Tor (Proper) is to the east end and contains the big name problem for the crag 'Made in Sheffield', there are many other scattered blocks around but little other recorded routes, development potential??
