Description

Haukkari is a small bouldering crag in Lohja area about 50 minutes distance from Helsinki. The rock quality at the crag is a bit two-pronged. The half of routes are sharp as hell and the other half of the routes are solid high quality stone. But all routes climb really well and have superb moves. There are still space for a couple of more routes - for easier ones but for at least one insanely hard boulder route. The area here is really nice and in the top of the cliff (Haukkakallio), there is for example really nice place for picnic with beautiful views. And when you drive back to main road, there is s really good bird watching place with tower. This time of years the place is full of different kind of migratory birds so take your binoculars and SLR camera with zoom objective with you. One local told that there lived decades ago hawks at the cliff but not any longer.

History

Pasi Partanen found Haukkari bouldering face in the Autumn 2018. It is not known if Haukkari has been founded alrady before or has there been climbing activity back in the days. He forgot the place for some time but when browsing olds pictures he remembered this cliff's potential. Haukkari cliff was brushed clean by Pasis's in the begin of year 2020. So the story of Haukkari began.
