Description

Haukilahti is an old urban classic with nice, safe landings, good quality rock and nearly 50 routes graded from 4 to 7B. It's a sunny place that dries quickly. The approach and the area is family friendly. Haukilahti offers something for most climbers.

Because of it's quality, history and location, Haukilahti is the most popular bouldering crag in the Helsinki metropolitan area. And for good reason! Because of it's popularity, the most climbed route in mainland Finland can be found here: Pyllistys, 6A. Other than pyllistys, a few other notable routes area:

Väkivalta, 6B: A short, but powerful quality boulder.
Enkeli ss, 7A: The most climbed and popular 7A of the region.
Dynamo, 7A: A quality line, with a delicate start into two big moves / dynos to the top.
Puudelin Paska, 7B: A relatively well regarded 7B boulder, and the hardest boulder at this crag.

History

Most of the routes were first climbed in the 90's, but the first topo was collected around 2007. Instructions have been passed on verbally from genearation to the next, and often reshaped during the process. This topo tries to reflect the current consensus where the routes are and how they are started. Some are more obvious than the other.
