Harju crag offers a good variety of traditional and sport climbing. The crag also has good bouldering. Main sectors for roped climbing are vasen, keski and oikea. Bouldering is more spread out through the crag. The cliff is mostly sunny and can get really hot during the peak summer hours. The best seasons are spring and autumn. Rock quality varies a lot, from good granite to very sharp and fun crimps.
Climbing in Harju started in early 2000 with top roping few lines and bouldering on the main block under the cliff. Back then, the whole crag was covered with an old spruce forest. The place looked quite different - gloomy and dark, covered with spruce needles. Since then the landowner has cleared the woods several times and now Harju is quite a sunny crag with lots of light. Climbing has developed at a slow and steady pace and now there is over 100 routes to choose from!
