Description

The climbing is on compact sandstone and has two distinct sectors: the first is a long broken cliff-line with a boulder/top-rope circuit, after which comes the quarry sector with well bolted routes featuring many cracks and is a great venue for aspiring trad climbers to practice placing gear.

It is an all year climbing venue but Autumn and Spring are best for a fun day out cragging.

History

The story of climbing around Gueberschwihr started long ago with people quarrying the valuable sandstone for building material.
