Description

The climbing site is located in the heart of Gorski Kotar, almost in the centre of the mountainous Croatia and close to the town of Delnice. The site is settled within the protected Park Forest of the same name and it is most suitable for summer climbing. Crags are surrounded by tall trees that provide protection from the sun and freshness of the air. Only the sector Holly­wood gets some sunlight in the afternoon. The climbing site is very popular for many new routes and the fact that this is one of the rare sites pleasant for climbing even in the warmest summer days.
It is ideal place to visit with kids.

🧗🏼‍♂️Rock quality is very good and it recalls a bit to the one of the Alps. However, some places are a bit looser and they require attention. After the rain the rock stays wet for a relatively long time.
Style of climbing is specific: holds are slopy, moves can be long, and in many ocasions steping will be on friction.

Remark: The site is under protection as the Park Forest, therefore one should obey strict rules of behaviour and environment protection.
Accommodation: It is possible to camp on the meadow outside the fenced area of the Park. Hotels in Delnice and Fužine and many guesthouses in nearby villages, camp Lokve.

History

First routes are bolted in 1989 for a one of the first climbing competitions. Later in 2015 a big bolting action was organised and than climbers from Zagreb, Rijeka and Pazin have bolted most of the routes
