Description

The hill behind Furtei (hollowed by a massive quarry) presents two different climbing sectors.

On the south side is what we call "Furtei", a beautiful winter sector that receives the sun all day, and on the north side a hidden gem that is a popular destination all year round.

FURTEI: this sector is visible from the town and the road, and is made of yellowish and grey limestone. There are some easy routes, but mostly good from 6a to 7a. The crag received the sun all day, so climb here only during the winter and on cloudy days. If sunny and hot, go to the shady crag in Segariu, which is just at the back of the hill.

SEGARIU: It has many routes ranging from 5b to 7a and a range of styles from challenging vertical slabs to pumpy overhangs. It is in the shade most of the day during the winter, and from noon in the summer.
