Description

This is an interesting addition to Leonidio’s collection of all-too-obvious, yet only recently equipped, rock faces. Half of the sector faces east, starting short on the right end and gradually rising toward the far left, where it peaks in a 50-meter blunt arête. From there, it slopes down into a south-facing section, also packed with routes—though with noticeably different rock quality and, in particular, very distinct belay areas. The basic idea of climbing is crimps and jugs in the vert but there are tufas, pockets and other features to be found as well.

History

As far as we know, the sector was initially developed by Claude Remy and a local from Leonidio and his son, who had previously worked as assistants for the municipality and the Remy brothers on bolting-related tasks—allegedly using materials taken from Climb Leonidio's storage without permission.
