Fontanella groups two fresh and quiet sectors close to Madonna di Campiglio.
If you are looking for nice short lines with contained difficulties, secotr Fontanella is a really good choice. The wall is composed of a great limestone that guarantees good friction.There are almost 40 routes from 4 to 7a, bolts are safe and close to each other, the base is really comfortable and the approach is really short. Yes, Fontanella is a great crag for families!
Sector Fontanella Alta is not as great as Fontanella, but has a couple of interesting lines too. The approach is short too.
Even if the walls face mainly south, it is possible to find good conditions from April to September thanks to the fresh temperatures and the altitude of the area (1400 meters above sea level). In the afternoon the walls are more shaded.
Few km away from Fontanella you will find Madonna di Campiglio, which absolutely deserves a visit, and the landscape over the summits of Brenta Dolomites will not disappoint you!
