Entre aguas is still open all year around let's keep it that way, so it's important to follow the general rules of Albarracín.
CLIMBING HAS BEEN LIMITED
LIMITED ACCESS AND FORBIDDEN SECTORS
Climbing has been limited in Albarracín area due the bird nesting and protecting the nature. Most sectors are open, but the following sectors are closed since 2014 (Climbing is FORBIDDEN ALL YEAR AROUND in these sectors):
Península
Madriles/Acantilados
upper part of Valle de Madera
Psicokiller
Mirador
Sol
Masia
Anywhere within 30 m of the road or rock paintings.
.
The aim of the restriction is to protect the natural bird nesting areas. These restrictions have been placed cause some climbers did not respect the nesting periods, that had been placed before. It is important that everybody respects 100% the prohibition in order to keep these areas safe and quiet. Following these rules is also important, so that there wouldn’t come more restrictions and bouldering in Albarracín would be possible also in the future.
Don't climb when it's getting dark or before sun rise. Don't make tick marks and use only a minimal amount of chalk. Park under the roof on the parking areas. Use only recognized paths. It's just about ok to sleep in vehicles, but don't leave any signs of spending a night in the area. Don't make fires. Keep your dog on a leash. Bury carefully all the human waste and ship out all trash. More information is available in Spanish at escaladasosteniblealbarracin.blogspot.com.
