Description

El Maroc is a huge boulder located in the middle of the agricultural lands of Pratosaiano. It has four climbable faces offering a tens of boulder problems, but it still has a lot of potential for new lines. The landings are good and the approach could not be any shorter.
South face is for sure the more attractive, thanks to its solid rock full of pockets. North face is the one having the greatest potential, also for hard problems, although it should be cleaned. The line “Discesa” on the East face can be used to downclimb the boulder.

If you have a crash pad and few time free, El Maroc can do for you. It is rarely frequented, but has interesting problems and an extremely comfortable approach.
There are many other lines that can be cleaned and climbed, so let us know if you discover something new!

El Maroc is close to a private field. Please respect it and do not steal the apples (rather drive to Pratosaiano and buy them from the local farmers, they are very cheap!).

History

If you ask to the locals about El Maroc, they will tell you that it has always been there, ready to be climbed. One day my dad told me "L'è rudolà zo dal Stif", that using english words would be "it rolled down from mount Stivo".
The lines showed in the topo were cleaned and climbed during the spring of 2015.
