Drive along road 49 towards Karlsborg, a large sign “Djäknesundet” Will indicate a left turnoff that leads straight to the large, gravel parking. Once parked, follow the gravel road down to the beach, and then take to the right hand side of the sound, which has more trees than the left. Follow the waters edge till the cliffs show up on your right.
Prior to the public acknowledgment of Djäknesundet’s ideal beaches in 2019, it was possible to drive all the way to the beach. Unfortunately it became so popular that the municipality built a parking up by the main road, enforced a parking fee and boomed the road. Now the walk is about 10 minutes during peak season, but once season ends, the booms open and the fees are removed.
