Crown of Aragon boasts one of the most iconic climbing crags in the San Vito region.
The crag faces full south and gets all the sun has to offer. It's a perfect winter venue.
Crown of Aragon is particularly appealing to those who excel in higher grades (7a to 8a) and thrive on steep, challenging terrain. Perched prominently on the hillside, this striking cliff is impossible to miss from the SP16 as you head north from Castelluzzo.
The routes here predominantly feature overhanging tufas, stalactites, and pocketed, orange-golden rock with exceptional texture.
Climbers exploring the mid-grade routes (6a-7a) will find themselves on more vertical walls, which, while less overhanging, are equally rewarding in quality.
Tufas can suffer seepage after wet periods... But remember... without that, no tufas at all...!
