Questo settore è formato da 4 paretine distinte e negli ultimi anni ha potuto assaporare il gusto di una nuova giovinezza. Marcus Stein, oltre ad aver richiodato alcuni tiri, ha aperto alcune splendide linee sulla Guglia principale, una sorta di piccola Mitria. A detta dello stesso apritore qui si trova probabilmente la roccia più bella dei Denti. Nicola Vonarburg ha richiodato il futuristico progetto "iI grembo di lucia", che si sviluppa in un grottino e originariamente aperto da Lauro Nembrini. Consigliata la corda da 80 metri !

This sector is made up of 4 distinct walls and in recent years has been able to enjoy the taste of a new youth. Marcus Stein, in addition to having re-bolted some pitches, has opened some splendid lines on the main spire, a sort of small Mitria. According to the same opener, here is probably the most beautiful rock of the Denti. Nicola Vonarburg has re-bolted the futuristic project "iI grembo di lucia", which develops in a small cave and was originally opened by Lauro Nembrini. The 80 meter rope is recommended!
La leggenda narra che in tempi antichi tiranneggiava nei pressi di Lugano una vecchia strega con strani super poteri legati ad un suo grande dente giallo. Un giorno di molto tempo fa la strega s'imbatte in un uomo che, colpendole con un sasso il dente, la sconfisse per sempre. Il grande dente cadde dalla bocca della vecchia e creò una grande guglia rocciosa. Mille anni d'intemperie hanno eroso e frantumato il grande dente aguzzo e l'hanno ridotto a tanti denti: i Denti Della Vecchia.
Ai Denti si arrampica su di un calcare dolomitico ed è possibile trovare vie per tutti i gusti: tecniche, fisiche, lunghe, corte, facili, difficili, placche, muri verticali, strapiombi più o meno pronunciati. Le varie orientazioni delle pareti permettono d'arrampicare tutto l'anno purché si scelga con attenzione l'esposizione ma generalmente il periodo migliore per la frequentazione dei Denti va da Aprile ad ottobre.

At the Denti you climb on a dolomitic limestone and you can find routes for all tastes: technical, physical, long, short, easy, difficult, slabs, vertical walls, more or less pronounced overhangs. The various orientations of the walls allow you to climb all year round as long as you choose the exposure carefully, but generally the best period for visiting the Denti is from April to October.
