Description

🚶‍♂️ 1' - ⛰️ 850 MSL - 🧭 NW - ☀️ shady, a bit of sun in the late afternoon

Comano is a nice crag nestled in a beautiful fir forest. The wall is vertical with a nice compact gray limestone.
The crag offers easy routes on its left side, from 4b to 6b+, while short and bouldery ones, around 8a, on its right side. The central part is the best section of the wall. Here all the routes are very nice and pumpy on crimpers and the difficulties are concentrated around seventh grade. The routes are well equipped.
The crag base is very comfortable also for children that can play in the woods. In the hottest periods of the year, pay attention to the possible presence of ticks.
In the summer weekends or holidays Comano is highly frequented.

Comano is a very nice wall and probably one of the freshest during the summer period. The quality of the routes also make this crag one of the must visit in the nearby area of Arco.

History

The crag was bolted by Luca and Paolo Malesardi about 30 years ago. The routes on the extreme right were bolted and freed few years ago.
Comano has been entirely rebolted during the Spring of 2023 by the outdoor park Gardatrentino.
