Approach: Park in the National Trust pay and display car park next to the Robin Hood Inn on the B6050, just after the junction with the A619 Baslow-to-Chesterfield road. Follow a footpath on the right-hand side of the main road (heading towards Baslow) for approximately 200m. On the south side of the road a wooden gate gives access to a footpath that leads downhill to the stream. Cross this via a wooden bridge and continue rightwards along the path. After 80m the path reaches a grassy track: turn right onto this and continue for another 70m to a locked wooden gate with a stile. The first buttresses overlook the track approximately 70m from the gate (8 minutes from the parking area). Continuing rightwards along the base of the now broken crag, the remaining buttresses are spread out over a distance of approximately 200m.
