We like Chaos Canyon
Drew LaPlante
RMNP, I must say, is the best rock I have ever pulled down on...by far. The bouldering in Chaos Canyon is phenomenal! The beautiful drive into the park is the precursor to an even more beautiful hike to the talus fields. The scattered rock boulders pile over one another, all with subtle hints of green lichen spraying the rock. The boulder problems are world class, and are mostly difficult at grades from V5-V15. The area is absolutely beautiful, and in good conditions, the rock literally feels like velcro. The style of bouldering consists mainly of crimping, but there is definitely a wide range of holds and movement in the area. The best rock, great vibes, and absolute must for rock climbing!

Amazing setting, and amazing climbing. Well worth the hike.

good bouldering but long drive, long approach, sketchy landings, Park pass needed, parking problems in the high season, not dog friendly
