Description

This crag is located in La Vall de Boí, just before the dam of Cavallers, inside the National Park of Aigüestortes.

🧗‍♂️🧗‍♀️
Overall Cavallers offers up to 1000 routes with a very sharp and rounded granite rock type. Mind your finger skin!
This rock type features a physical climbing style with a lot of overhangs. Challenging mantles and hard slabs are also a thing here. There are a lot of easy grade routes for the begginers, even more medium grade for the intermidiates, and quite a lot for the advanced. You have dangerous highballs but also a lot of low safe lowballs. There are some projects still to free if you are hunting FAs. And all this surrounded with the best environment possible!

- Harri-jasotze 7B
- Esperó del prat 7A+
- La Carnisseria 7A+
- X-Men 7A+
- La formiga atòmica 7A

- Tau tau 6A+

☀️❄️
The best seasons to climb in Cavallers are autumn and spring which provide high grip without being as cold as in winter when all will be covered in snow probably. Those are humid seasons with possible rain in the afternoon but most sectors dry up super fast like El Prat. The most famous season to climb here is in summer because it is the colder crag in Catalunya. While still being hot, you can get good temperatures in the shadier sectors like Toirigo.

💪
Besides all the route information, the constantly growing 27 Crags Premium topos have GPS coordinates for each boulder and offline use in the app. These guarantee you won't get lost while navigating to the right rock and that bad internet connection won't stop you browsing the topos!

Still under development it will be updated periodically adding the last information and updating any error, don't hesitate to leave your comments!

In https://www.madboulder.org/cavallers you have available a lot of betas.

As in all the climbing areas, behaving correctly is crucial. No littering, no climbing on wet rock, brush away all the tick marks and stay on the obvious paths. Remember that we are in a National Park and access can be revoked!!

From El Pont de Suert take the road L-500 towards Barruera. This road crosses all the Vall de Boí. Continue it until arriving to the last village, Caldes de Boí, with its spa resort. This is the P1 and where you'll find a barrier. From this barrier we enter the National Park. Access is forbidden for vehicles more than 2m wide and it is also forbidden to sleep inside. You may find the barrier closed on the weekends of holidays season as it gets very crowded.
From this barrier the road continues for 4.5km until the dam of Cavallers. The are on both sides of the road is where all boulder are located. You can find all parkings by this road too. Only park on the designated areas check them out on the map.

🚶
If you can't pass the barrier, the nearest sector is Toirigo, just after crossing the bridge to the left. The other sectors are scattered on both sides of the valley, usually very near of the parkings, just try to follow the existing paths.
