No special access issues
During the nesting season it is not unusual for birds to nest in holes in the cave. Local climbers may remove the first bolts of affected routes, or leave a notice at the base of the climb. Please always respect these situations and choose other routes to climb. At the parking, please do not block the access to the private land and be very careful when crossing the road to access the crag, as visibility is poor and passing traffic very fast.
How to reach the parking:
From Alicante: Leave the A-7 at exit 545 (Orihuela / Benferri) and at the first roundabout take the exit signed Orihuela. Follow the CV-930 towards Orihuela for 3km, then take the exit signed N-340 Orihuela/Redován. At the roundabout, turn right (N-340 Orihuela/Murcia) and follow the N-340 for 5km towards Murcia. Leave ‘Raiguero de Bonanza’ behind, pass beneath two big water pipelines, then turn left towards El Raal/Beniel. After only 5 metres, turn right into a small track running parallel to N-340 and after 350m you will reach the parking.
From Murcia via A-7: Leave the A-7 at exit 563 (Cabezo de Torres/El Esparragal) and continue to the second roundabout. Exit left onto the A-4 (Alicante/Santomera/Cobatillas) and follow this towards the N-340 (Alicante/Santomera). When you get to ‘Laderas del Campillo’ take the N-340 towards Alicante for about 9km. After ‘Raiguero de Levante’ and just after a petrol station, turn right, signposted Vereda Salazar. After 550m and the storage building ‘Almacén Agro Mazón’, turn left into a track and after 750 m you will reach the parking.
From Murcia city: Leave the city via Avenida de Alicante N-340 and continue for 16km until ‘Raiguero de Levante’ where you will follow the same instructions as from Murcia via A-7.
Approach:
From the parking, walk towards Orihuela for about 50 m and turn left at the first crossroads. Carefully cross the N-340 and follow a small path up to the crag.
