The first ascent of the 1. pitch with the roof was leaded free on-sight late on 19 August 1975 and the first ascent of the route was completed in free style on-sight on 21 August 1975, by Einar Husebye and Chester Dent. Nuts and hexentrixs were used. We graded the climb 6- according to Norwegian scale/UIIA scale at that time. By state of the art evaluation today, the grade will be higher. An article about the first ascent by Einar Husebye was published in The Norwegian Alpine Journal 2016, by Norsk Tindeklub (the Norwegian Alpine Club) ISSN 1891-4039. The correct ascent date is beyond the range allowed. The 21 August, 48 yrs later, in 2023 is chosen to allow the record to be saved.
