Welcome to Fionnay, a bouldering paradise situated at an altitude of 1500m in the breathtaking Val de Bagnes, just a 40-minute drive from Martigny. This climbing haven boasts an impressive selection of over 200 climbs, catering to all levels of climbers, from intermediate to pro.

Fionnay is a summer, autumn, and spring paradise, but in winter, it's best to admire the snow-capped beauty from afar as climbing becomes impossible.Fionnay might still be climbable during winter, but it depends on the snow conditions, and please note that it's not the same every year, so it's essential to check before heading up. Divided into four distinct areas, each offering its unique charm, Fionnay is home to some of the best boulders you'll encounter, including classics like "Welcome to Jamrock" (7b), "La Belle rampe" (7c), "Permanent Midnight" (8A+/B), and "Scarred for Life" (8A+).

In Fionnay, you'll encounter a diverse range of rock types, from polished surfaces along the river to sharp crimps nestled amidst the forest, offering an exciting variety of climbing experiences. As a bouldering destination in the forest, Fionnay's routes may take a bit of time to dry after rain. While some boulders in less frequented areas might exhibit traces of moss, this natural element contributes to the beauty of the surrounding forest.

Access to the different areas within Fionnay is relatively short, making it convenient for climbers to navigate and explore the diverse sectors. Some spots are particularly family-friendly and perfect for kids; refer to the specific sector information for details.

Please kindly adhere to these rules and guidelines to ensure the longevity of climbing in this area. Some boulders are in proximity to private property, and it's crucial to maintain positive relationships between climbers and locals to preserve access for generations to come.

🚗 Please consult the map to identify the appropriate parking for each area within Fionnay.
🚶‍♂️ Follow the trails on the map. It's in general easy walk from 1 to 15min.

1️⃣Permanent Area: To ensure a sustainable and enjoyable climbing experience, we kindly request climbers to use the parking "Permanent Parking" on the map, which is just an extra 30-second walk from the first parking near Permanent Midnight. This small effort will help prevent any long-term issues caused by overcrowding.

2️⃣ Le Real Chien: Find the parking on the map and just walk down in the river.

3️⃣ F* the System: Find the parking on the map! This is a sensitive parking, you have two options on the map, please don't park anywhere else. Walk on the obvious trail and the boulder will be on your way.

4️⃣ Moleskine: Careful! To preserve the peaceful ambiance of the village and maintain positive relations with the locals, we kindly ask climbers, especially in larger groups, to avoid walking through the village or being excessively loud. Please follow the marked trail on the left side of the village as indicated on the map, ensuring a respectful and enjoyable climbing experience for everyone involved.
