⚠️DO NOT PARK AT VIIRILÄ⚠️
Parking used to be possible near Viirilä's field, but that is no longer allowed due to problems with the residents of Viirilä. Following that, the topo recommended to leave your car along Vanha Porvoontie, but that is a very bad option with basically all of the possible "spots" either requiring 4x4 or blocking residents' access to fieds etc. The best place to leave your car is Kuusijärvi's parking spot. It is absolutely huge with 390 spots, but parking is not free. At the time of writing (30.03.2026) the parking at Kuusijärvi costs as follows:
Between 09-21: First hour free, after that 0,5€/hr + the parking provider's costs.
Accessing Viirilä from Kuusijärvi takes some time, as the approach is 2.3 km at it's fastest and ~3 km at it's nicest. Thankfully the approach through Sipoo's national park is quite enjoyable with beautiful scenery and forests. GPS trails have been marked on the map to ease access. If you can get someone to drop you off at Viirilä, the approach becomes significantly shorter (only 500 m).
🚌🚏
Because of the long approach from good parking, it is almost recommended to come here using public transport. The approach from the bus stops (Viirilä Si1408/9) is a lot shorter, amounting to 950 m. The following bus lines stop at the aforementioned bus stop:
🔵 736: Tikkurila - Hakunila - Nikinmäki . Korso
🔵 739: Rautatientori - Sörnäinen - Nikinmäki - Korso
🔵 785K: Rautatientori - Sörnäinen - Nikkilä
🔵 788K: Rautatientori - Sörnäinen - Nikkilä - Porvoo
