The area is access sensitive!
In order to both park and reach the crag, you have to drive and walk through private properties, so it is essential to respect these. Should the parking spot be full, drive back down the track to an earlier parking spot. Never drive through the gate into the plantations. It is also completely forbidden to pick up oranges or lemons from the abundant fruit trees all around. Good behaviour will ensure access can be maintained to the parking and the crag.
How to reach the parking:
From Alicante: Leave the A-7 at exit 545 (Orihuela/Benferri) and drive towards Alicante A-7/Orihuela. At the next roundabout take the exit towards ‘La Matanza’ and after a few metres turn right into CV-868, again to ‘La Matanza’. Continue on this road until the point marked on the map, where you turn left following the sign ‘Los Quicos’ and ‘Los Yagües’, then follow the main track until you get to the parking.
From Murcia: Leave the A-7 at exit 555 (Santomera/Abanilla) and take the RM-414 towards Abanilla. After 1km, turn right towards La Matanza/Benferri and continue on the CV-868 until the point marked on the map, where you will turn right following the sign ‘Los Quicos’ and ‘Los Yagües’, then follow the main track until you get to the parking.
Approach:
From the parking spot we will cross the access gate and follow the track to the left until you reach a wide path (if the gate is closed we will skirt it on its right side). Once there, turn left and walk towards a paved bend where you will find a well-defined path to your right. This path will lead you to the crag.
