The area is access sensitive!

The optimal way to reach Vathy is by car or bike, as the bus service from Pothia operates only twice a day and allows limited time for exploration. Near the port of Rina, where the shops begin, you'll find a spacious car park on the left. After parking, head towards the port and take the first left turn; the road begins flat and then narrows as it ascends. At the summit, turn left, cross what seems to be a private terrace, and proceed through the gate in the fence. The path traverses before the ascent up the gorge to the climbing area and is marked with cairns. Please park in designated car park, driving up the steep road could cause inconvenience and problems for residents which would result in access problems. As you pass through gates leave them as you find them, if they are open leave them that way, if closed ensure you secure them after passing through.
