Le piege

A mega classic just behind Refuge de l'Envers des Aiguilles. 6 pitches of sustained climbing, topping out at some 2800 meters altitude. The route was still covered in snow from the preceding day, which made for a wet (and slow! - 6 hours) ascent. Well protected with a double rack, medium nuts, and some good bolts. The hut was full the following night, forcing our descent to Mer de Glace, where we had stashed sleeping gear. A wonderful day out with Lisette.
