Major Crags update
After some intensive work last summer documenting some of the regions larger and most popular Crags, we are pleased to say that the following Crags are as up to date as can be with almost all known problems having topo images and descriptions provided.
These Crags include; Almscliffe, Ilkley, Shipley Glen & Simon's Seat. These Crags are as compete as can be for the moment (some require a final check including recent developments being added). These Crags will be regularly monitored and updated when new development information is available.
Many smaller venues have been added and fully documented also as they were visited by members of the 27crags #YorkshireGrit Team explored new venues. These included; Buckstones Edge (incomplete but main areas documented), Little Almscliffe, Spofforth Pinnacles,White Crag (near Silsden) & Burley Moor Crags.
Please help contribute and maintain information by adding lines/topos or starting a discussion on a sector or problem if you'd like to contribute further. Any more detailed contributions, question or discussion? Drop an email to; TeamYorkshireGrit@gmail.com
We've all had a productive grit season and enjoyed some dry and cold weather over last winter, Christmas & New Year. Now Grit Season is drawing to a close in terms of temperature, we will resume the efforts of checking, updating and maintaining the information on 27Crags for Yorkshire Grit.
The work will resume now with holiday's and warmer weather approaching making it a good time to focus on getting topo images updated and burying my head into my guides and scouring the internet to check through the information and make updates.
New focus Crags will include Widdop, Woodhouse Scar and eventually the massive tasks of Caley Crag, Caley Roadside and Brimham... Many of these have had updates to their popular areas and problems but will be checked through in due time.
Some local smaller Crags will also be updated with Norwood, Hunters Stones, Swastika Stones and Snowden all on the radar...
