New bouldering in Sardinia

Published 9 months ago by Markus Bengts.

Peter of The Lemon House has added an exhaustive bouldering topo for Serra Oseli in Sardinia. Serra Oseli is best known for its multipitch and singlepitch (6b+ - 8a) routes, and at 900m above sea level, is a popular destination in summer. It was first “revealed” to the world as a bouldering location in the summer of 2009 with an article in the Italian Pareti magazine.

The Lemon House, a climbing house (see www.peteranne.it), is only 45’ from Serra Oseli and Peter has been repeating the problems and adding his own (at least up to 6C…), and has now published the topo in agreement with the local climbers from Nuoro who made the first hand-drawn topo and climbed problems up to 7B+.

According to Peter the boulders are perfectly-sized and are of a compact limestone which doesn’t hurt your hands. Good landings, great in autumn, winter, spring. Many grade 6 problems and lots of projects to free. Best of all, the place is very beautiful – see the videos linked to in Peter’s blog on 27crags.
