Access: From Salamanca, take the A-66 in the direction of Béjar (70 km) or Plasencia.
Around 3 km before to get to Béjar, you will see a turnoff to Vadelsangil. Take the turnoff
and drive towards the village. The Valdesangil bouldering area is huge, so whether you
park at the beginning or at the end of the village depends on the sector that you are
planning to visit.
Approach: To climb in the Los Carabancheles sector, after the turnoff to Valdesangil
and just before you get to the village, you will see a trail on the right. Park the car here
and walk along the path until you get to a gate made of posts on the left. Go through
the gate, closing it behind you, and continue down the path that takes us to the boulders,
which are visible from the path. It takes about 5 minutes to get from the car to the
boulders.
To climb in the Matrix sector, drive through the village, passing a square with a fountain,
and take a trail that leads to the village football fi eld, where you park your car. From
here, carry on along the path at the end of the football fi eld that goes in a north-westerly
direction. When you get to a fi eld, keep going straight to get to the Moby Dyc sectors, or
take the path to the middle of the fi eld on the left to get to Matrix.
To get to the Cancho Bermejo sector, continue along the track that leads to the football
fi eld and, after about 500 m and a few tight curves, you will get to another fi eld, where
you can park your car in the parking area. The sectors are visible from here: to get to
the Colmenero sector, follow a path that goes off in the same direction that you were
heading by car, straight from the parking area. Around 200 m along the path you will
come across a stream, which you cross to continue along the path until you reach the
boulders.
