Description

Circuits: Yellow, Orange, Blue, Red. Latest update 2021.

Rocher aux Sabots is one of the most popular sectors in the area of Trois Pignons.

On weekends, this bouldering paradise turns into very popular pique-nique site when French families are going to have their walks around the path (= sentiers) around this area. There are also lots of running competitions, horse riding, mountain biking, so we as climbers are not alone. So let's behave around other people.

And as the sector is very popular, remember to leave absolutely no trails of your climbing. Leave no trash, brush away your chalk and tickmarks. Make sure that your shoes are clean of sand!

Worth mentioning are the two very nice circuits. Orange offers you 42 nice problems. Of which there are a couple of hair-rising slabs.

The blue circuit is also one of the very best circuits around the forest. There are even better - at least in my opinion - but climb this and the red circuit at Isatis and then message me, so I can point you to other very awesome circuits off the beaten path.

So what people usually climb? Le Tiroir, Le Jeu de Toit, Jet Set and Graviton. If you like to dyno, why not give Smash (7B) a try?. You can also try a couple of very nice slabs on the Tiroir-rock. Angle a Jean-Luc (6C, or 7A if you ask me), Impossible (7a+) and Ongle Jo (7B) should keep you entertained for a while :)

It's very popular for those who reside at camping Mousardiere, because the sectors are basically walking distance.
