The climbing is allowed again in the Coppermine and Grootkop areas. Please don't climb at Easter Island. If you plan to go to the Redhill, go in a big group as there have been multiple safety issues over the years.

Finally, the area is known to be a hot spot for criminal activity, with muggings at gunpoint occuring with some frequency.
