We like Penitente Canyon

The SLV's classic crag. Stacked with techy sport climbs that pack a bunch despite their height. This canyon has a special vibe and a depth of history. Arete's, crimps, pockets, Hueco's and slabs make the climbing varied and thoughtful. Cold in the winter but climbable most of the year.

Great little canyon! Routes are short and sweet. You've got everything from slab, to huecos, to steep faces. The majority of the climbs are too short for my liking though.

if it's not too hot, Peni is the best crag in the Valley. Brian got here late and there are a limited number of his routes in here, so the good stuff got done right.
