Description

Omis is a town where river Cetina enters Adriatic sea and it is surrounded with cliffs from all sides so all sectors offer a great view.
Therefore, it offers a short approach to more than 280 sport and 17 multi-pitch routes with great views on the river and sea.

It is surrounded by rocky hillsides that have been developed to produce one of the largest sport climbing destinations in Croatia.

Sectors can be defined by a short approach (5 min walk from the city) and nice nature and in most sectors, you can park your car just by the road
Local climbers are continuing searching and bolting new routes so you will find routes suitable for all climbing level.

Climbers will find routes with all sorts of styles, from short dynamic to long endurance and all routes have one thing in the common - beautiful view.
Routes are well equipped with bolts and almost all sectors are family friendly

Planovo sector has been rebolted on February 2019.

History

This is the place where it all started in Croatia first bolted route was in Stomorica sector and almost all alpine climbers were going to Omiš to climb multipitch routes. which some of them are now equipped with bolts (approved by authors).
You can see their progression by climbing first sport climbing routes, from long slab-vertical climbing to short and overhanging routes (first Dalmatian 8a route, sector Babjača, route: Rex Chroatorum Tomislav).
In 90es, sport climbing routes increased rapidly, so now there are 286 sports routes at only 50% of its potential.
