The incredible "nickis" project. Took me a considerable amount of effort in between a couple voyages, and had to stick to it in some gnarly conditions. Amazing climbing with drop knees, smears, and small crimps. Looks kinda like Stained Glass, but its much bigger! SYKED!!!

A majestic prow, jutting out of the forest on a northeast facing slope. A very technical compression climb, and extra conditony. Took me eleven days over two seasons, and it was a huge relief to final climb it. Difficult to grade, but one of the more challenging problems I have tried in a very long time, so we will see.

Pretty sick wall. We didn't have that many pads. It was scary. Good sesh with Phil.

2nd ascent, about ten seconds after Nalle sent for the FA! Amazing freak-problem, with two completely different methods possible. The problem climbs an orange and blue streaked prow, positioned on a precipice over-looking incredible scenery.

2nd ascent. Potentially one of the best problems on earth? as well might be the best problem I have ever stumbled upon on a hike? One of my all time favorites. Big moves, through perfect grips, on a tall block. Seemingly shaped by a diety.

Wow. Cool climb. It was heinous in the start, and once I found the master beta, with help of Saxon, it all clicked.

An amazing bloc sitting on a cool ledge, below the Taipan wall. A heinous foot swing, followed by a tricky knee bar, leads to a sick top out in no fall terrain. CLASSIC.

WOW. sick new zone, sick new problem. Pure compression. I am not sure if it is 8b+ for everyone...if you are shorter, it may be impossible, yet if you are taller, it could become more 8b or 8a+ even? At 2 meters? That said, its certainly a morphological problem, but is certainly more difficult then the Big Worm in Mt. Evans, for my height. The crux move is at my full extension, and is followed by a terrible toe-hook match, which is extra cabron. SYKED.

Amazing compression problem with a subtle low percentage crux move. Didn't think I could pull it off due to bruised tips and a some heat issues, but managed to actually do it! 4 days, 8 moves, 2nd ascent...classy problem and props to DW's for opening this trail side masterpiece!

Well, not very hard once you figure it out...should've given a better flash burn...good climbing on nice holds, but def a low ball.

Very cool roof climbing, almost hueco-esque (except a little bit chossier) with a spicy top out, which I found really awkward. Good sesh with D woods. The great discovery of the day was the deciphering and cleaning of the sick proj, which climbs from an amazing sit start on the right side of the roof through crazy 360 moves and finishing in Bambi. WOW!!!

wow. what a great sandstone boulder problem. Great session, and lucky to have pulled it together in time...BACK IN THE GAME!!!!

BAller compression problem, super fun moves, and a great challenge in the less then perfect conditions! Sick gangster toe hooks and dynamic slaps all over the place. felt HEINOUS. umm, look forward to some Island videos of these boulders and some of the past ascents from this season coming out SOON!

Well, this one sure is a cool problem. A huge span move followed by a technical foot interchange, and a wicked release move First eyed by Jimmy Webb, this green wall climb was one of the first projects which took peoples interest this season, however it remained untried until last week. Definitely a morphological problem, but I suggest 8b+ for my size. VERY SYKED I managed it this day, as it was my last day for the season (the road closes at the end of september, and I am going to the baller NOR' EASTER event manana!!!!)

one of the original projects from the start of the season. super satisfied to climb this one, as it was such an obvious addition to the problems in Wolverineland. A very difficult roof section leads to serious lip encounter, and a strange traverse on slopers and odd grips brings you to the summit. very cool rock climb, I DIG IT!! seems quite hard!

SICK highall crack line. FUN!!!!

An amazing line on amazing rock! The legendary "ski jump" project on the ridge! I love this problem, and feel lucky to have sent it third day in, rather then 10th! A very finicky boulder problem filled with subtle toe-hooks, crazy semi-dynamic movements, and very tense static moves. Eleven moves total, and an engaged top-out, and by far one of the most aesthetic lines in Mt. Evans Wilderness... Perfect conditions sure did help, but it felt very hard on the link regardless. Time to move on to the next project, yet again. VAMMMMMMMOSSSSSSSSSSS! and for the grade, feels harder then any 8b i have ever done, but i must be a punt...

Very cool problem! the ending of an amazing problem. The sit start, which is undone, will be one of the best at the area, and is the line for sure...Not sure if the stand start is 8a or 8a+, but it will be heinous coming from below.

FUCK YEAH! This problem is all crunk, climbs all crazy, toe hooks, wierd feet, good times! its super cool looking and slipped of it once and ate shit super bad, and now I am all bruised...WHAT EV! whos knows about the grade, but I doubt its 8b...

the amazing roof project. very powerful, yet still very technical. The first move is big trouble, it took four days of work just to do it once, and then it never really got any easier! Definately the hardest up in the area, and the first boulder I have done if this level in some time now. Seems certainly 8c, but we will see right...5 days of work, 2nd ascent. SYKED FOR THE NEW SHIT!!!!

Well, this is one of the most impressive lines from the project line up at the start of the year, and its DOPE it went down. It was very sick to unleash Daniel on it as well, as he made an amazing take down of the FA, but I was lucky to be one day behind him and have the good temps, cuz they sure did help my ass! Pretty syked, hurt myself in a pretty bad digger the last day on the problem, then came back for the kill. 2nd ascent, 4 days.

Well! Super surprised it all work out! tried the boulder here and there, but after a one month hiatus, GAME ON! This boulder has been exfoliating quite a lot in the past month since Daniel climbed it, and some significant thumb catches broke, making things a little bit more tricky! An amazing technical arete kinda thing, all compression-like but not? I'm not sure, but right before i did it i said "i will never climb this boulder." It felt impossible most of the time, but its NOT. its classic. 2nd ascent. NUFF SAID.

YES!!! SO SYKED!!! took me ages! i used a combo of methods, very condition oriented, but I must say, all in all, this is probably the hardest 8b I have ever done. I would never downgrade it from 8b+, if it were graded that, but I'll roll with the idea that its particularly hard for me, and its actually 8b? Very happy this battle is over, but this its such a great problem and a wonderful trainer, I will miss trying it. I'm Syked to be feeling in better shape now after a couple months of bouldering, especially as good temps are arriving for the baller projects...VENGA!!!!!!!

CLASSIC compression bouldering at its finest, with a very tricky crux. Almost all slopers, it differs from Wolverineland's harder circuit...subtle, technical, yet still powerful, a true boulder problem! 3 days of concentrated effort, and for the grade, we shall see, but it seems harder then others...time will tell.

yeah. i guess its v11 for most people. go figure. i thought it was like v6 TOPS!

sick bloc. gangster double clutch move in the bottom into a long move to an undercut with shit feet (which broke alot)....fell off the end a couple sessions amidst rain and death storms, then found the window in the weather and it worked! 2nd ascent.

climbed it in three small sessions, SYKED... a very cool roof climb, almost swiss style, and very resistant, with tensiony moves on edges...feeling like i'm kinda back in the game again for granite bouldering, and looking forward to the next months at wolverineland!

First try with amazing friction! climbed on it one hot day a while back and failed miserably. very fun!

Amazing compression climb with perfect holds. The hike in is hard. Worked the boulder over a couple rainy days with cardeck and diego, then came back with chad and nalle on a beautiful day with amazing friction and climbed it. Super syked to be climbing again.

Well, first upside down climb for me in lil while and felt just fine! maybe an hour of time for this fine Caldiero climb, an no pain in the game which means the game is ON.

Extremely crazy slab climb, amazingly all thumbs. Amazing comprimise for the current situation.

Fascinating little low ball roof with lots of tension. one session in the sweltering heat and first try in the cold.

nice grips. didn't take too long, maybe half an hour, but the very cold, very sandy wind helped alot.

Amazing ships-prow-like-prow, the sit down start to the existing problem Boogalagga. 7 amazing moves, almost font-like for granite, I am content. Three days this year, and one hour from 1 day back from 2003 or 4 when I sent the stand. The sport climbing attack on spain is next, especially as ticino weather has gone from really-shit to complete-and-utter-catastrophe.

Impressive line in compression, and an old project from the ages back. Huge moves in between slopers and always at my full extension, so very intense climbing. As the weather has been really bad, and my left hand pulley injury keeps me from crimping, I have a been lucky with this one. 3 days of work; hustlin'

A real nice line and the highest caliber of wood grained sandstone. Very well could be hard 8b, but just feels harder the the other 8b's by far. took two days, and some will power. I got the diamonds grippin' up against the wood grain wheel!!

SO very psyched. Super hard for me, to say the least, and climbed on it in freezing snowy windy conditions and time pressure. Absolutly amazinng, super-classic power bloc.
